Effective April 2021, the Government of Canada has suspended the accumulation of interest on Canada Student Loans until March 31, 2022. Subject to Parliament approval, the Government of Canada has proposed to extend this measure until March 31, 2023.
Update
We are currently experiencing a technical issue with some users attempting to apply for the Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP) and/or uploading supporting documents. While we work to resolve this, please be assured that no payments are required, and your loan(s) will not be negatively impacted while your RAP application is pending.
If you would like to mail us your supporting documents to finalize your current application, instead of waiting for the online process to be resolved, you can mail it. Please clearly indicate your loan number when mailing your supporting documents.
